A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Sony after the PS5 DualSense controller drift issue has caused outrage amongst gamers. Some owners want to take Sony to court over the issue.
If, like some gamers, you are experiencing drifting issues with your PS5 DualSense controller. You may be interested to hear that Sony may be hit with legal ramifications.
Sony has done very little to help struggling owners, and so players are now taking matters into their own hands.
PS5 DualSense Controller Drift Issue
The next-gen console controller has experienced drifting issues since the very beginning. Sadly, the notoriously frustrating issue has not been handled well by Sony.
The issue in question focuses on the controller's joystick and the in-game movement. The issue causes the DualSense controller to recognize an input even when the player is not touching the joystick.
Therefore, this leads to some incredibly frustrating moments for players who find themselves unable to play games effectively. Unfortunately, the issue does ruin the experience of owning a shiny new next-gen console.
Weirdly, this is not the only issue that players have run into. A while ago some players were reporting that the PS5 DualSense Controller was also suffering from this surprising issue.
Interestingly, it is not just Sony that is experiencing the issue. Nintendo has also had legal trouble with its own drifting issue. The issue cannot be ignored as it directly affects the entire next-gen experience.
Players are now taking action themselves by filing a class-action lawsuit against Sony for its defective PS5 DualSense Controller issue. The problem being both wide-spread and consistent across PS5 owners.
The law office Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP has filed a lawsuit against Sony. The legal body has set up a way of gathering players' feedback on the issue.
Furthermore, the law group was also part of the Nintendo Joycon drift issue, which had some successes. We hope that PS5 owners will also be able to receive some success against Sony.
PS5 Stock Issues
Alongside Sony's PS5 DualSense Controller drift issue, there are also huge problems with PS5 stock currently. Many PlayStation fans are struggling to get a hold of the next-gen console amidst a scalping issue.
Although, despite this, there are rumors of a huge PS5 restock coming next week. So perhaps some lucky shoppers might be able to get a hold of the next-gen console.
Furthermore, a Spider-Man 2 PS5 leak has revealed major details about the rumored game. Alongside this, a Sony job listing has teased a brand new open-world game.
It's the perfect time for players to pick up a new PlayStation 5 console. However, we hope if you can grab one, your DualSense Controller is not affected by the drift issue.
