PS Plus Games for the First Month of PS5

The PS5 is now out in every region, as today is the European release day! All PS5 owners are in for a good time, but PS Plus members have even more reasons to be cheerful.

PS Plus members will be familiar with free monthly games by now. The service has existed for years on PS4, so it was only natural that it would continue on PS5.

But wow, are PS Plus members in for a treat once they log in! The service can often be hit or miss, depending on what games you enjoy as a player.

Sometimes an absolute classic may appear, something that may be high on your ‘to play pile.’ While other times the offerings could elicit a “meh” response.

We’ve had months where the PS Plus line-up has provided us with great excitement, and others a distinct underwhelmed feeling.

However, for November 2020, which also happens to be the month of the PS5’s launch; we think the PS Plus line-up is positively balanced:

PS Plus November Line-Up

  • Bugsnax
  • Shadow of War
  • Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition

Shadow of War is the acclaimed sequel to Shadow of Mordor and makes an excellent addition to the PS Plus library. While Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition is perhaps the most up to date and inclusive version of that title.

While Bugsnax is exclusively for PS5 owners. This offers a Pokémon-esque spin on the classing first-person adventure game.

It’s not a technical marvel by any stretch of the imagination, but it offers some fun and surprisingly deep gameplay. It’s also laced with layers of dark humor for such a colorful title.

But that’s not all. For the launch of PS5, Sony has excelled themselves. This is thanks to the PS Plus Collection, a service for PS5 owners that lets them download, play, and keep a fantastic selection of PS4 games.

The cost of admission is a live PS Plus membership. We think this is incredible value for money, especially for those who may not have played all the titles yet.

While more games will join the service in time, here’s what’s available already:

PS Plus Collection Line-Up

  • Bloodborne
  • Days Gone
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • God of War
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Ratchet and Clank
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Until Dawn
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition
  • Monster Hunter: World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Persona 5
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

We think this is a rather generous line-up. Those who have an active PS Plus subscription, or anyone who joins up going forward, will be able to download any of these titles; anytime.

All of them are triple-A games and critically acclaimed classics at that. If the PS5’s launch line-up isn’t enough to keep you busy, we’re sure some of these will.
