On question detailed that even though you receive an invite, this does not guarantee a console. PlayStation generally opens its queue in a determined timeframe, but consoles might sell out before the time ends.

I disagree,I sign up back in October with three active Psn ID accounts.Sony sends me three different days on December for my three psn ID.I got excited. When it was my turn for the invite , I was patient and did everything right to purchase on time. When it was my turn... Within 35 mins of waiting after it open. ALL OF THE PS5 CONSOLE WERE SOLD OLD FOR ALL THREE PSN ID ON THREE DIFFERENT DAYS. Couldnt get a ps5 after a year of trying like Best Buy, Target and tried with Playstation Direct. I GIVE UP on Sony and give up on Playstation.

I registered once back in November. I got an invite for January 5th. Waited about 6 minutes for my turn to enter the store, got a PS5 purchased with no problem. Just be patient.

Something to keep in mind, when you receive an invite it will tell you the date of the next restock. However, I have found you can reuse the same email invite for any of their restocks. So if you don't get one with that restock be sure to keep that email for future use.

@Nick, That is not true. I have tried that several times and when you click the shop link it tells you it's expired. The invite emails even state the links are only valid until a specific date.

I signed up and it took about two months to get my invite. I logged on 15 minutes before and had to wait 30 minutes before I was able to purchase.
