How to Pre-Load Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

It’s finally almost time to download Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and players can pre-load the game to avoid lengthy installs on launch day.

Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, and before Treyarch’s next Call of Duty title arrives, you can pre-load the game to prepare yourself for release.

If you’ve pre-ordered this year’s COD and you can’t wait to get started, here’s everything you need to know about downloading the game early:

Black Ops 6 Pre-Load Release Date

Now officially confirmed by Activision, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be dropping its pre-load on Monday, October 21, 2024.

That’s four whole days ahead of launch, giving COD fans plenty of time to install the game prior to its release.

Pre-loading will be available on all platforms on October 21 at:

• 9 AM PT (US West Coast)
• 11 AM CT (US Central)
• 12 PM ET (US East Coast)
• 5 PM GMT (UK)
• 6 PM CET (Europe)

How to Pre-Load on All Platforms

PS4 & PS5

1. Pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on the PlayStation Store
2. Head to the Black Ops 6 Store page and select the countdown timer
3. You’ll then be able to choose the PS4 or PS5 version of Black Ops 6 and hit OK
4. This will ensure Black Ops 6 is automatically installed as soon as pre-loads are live

Xbox One & Series X/S

1. Pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on the Xbox Store
2. Then find Black Ops 6 in your library
3. Select the game icon to download it
   • If the Black Ops 6 icon doesn’t appear in your library, simply head to the game’s Xbox Store page
   • Then, find and download the game manually from there, as soon as pre-loads are live

PC

Steam

1. Download and install the Steam application
2. Pre-order Black Ops 6 on the Steam Store
3. Then, find and install the free Call of Duty application, if you don’t have it already
4. This will automatically receive an update to pre-load Black Ops 6

Battle.net

1. Download and install the Battle.net application
2. Pre-order Black Ops 6 on the Battle.net Store
3. Then, find Call of Duty in your games list, click the downloads button in the top right, and you’ll see Black Ops 6 content installing

Xbox Game Pass PC

1. Download and install the Xbox Game Pass PC application
2. Pre-order Black Ops 6 on the Xbox Store (or be a Game Pass Ultimate/Game Pass PC subscriber)
3. Then, find and install Black Ops 6 when pre-loading goes live

However, the steps above worked for us with 2023’s Modern Warfare 3, so we anticipate that they’ll be the steps required when it comes to installing Black Ops 6.
