Pokemon Unite Tier List After Balance Patch – August 4

The first Pokemon Unite balance patch is dropping into the MOBA today – here’s our updated tier list for August 4!

Now that Pokemon Unite has been out for just over 2 weeks, players are falling nicely into a comfortable meta. Of course, this was the perfect time for Tencent to drop a massive Pokemon Unite balance patch and shake things up for good!

Of course, players are still concerned as to whether or not Pokemon Unite is Pay to Win. But at its core, the MOBA is definitely an enjoyable all-around experience.

Just a few days ago, we published our Pokemon Unite Tier list for August 2021. And now that there’s a massive new balance patch going live, we’re making some important changes.

Bear in mind, the meta will take a few days to adjust to the new update – and this list may change a little as new nerfs and buffs are discovered. Although Tencent was very vague about some of its patch notes, the game’s community is working together to reveal exactly what has changed.

And it’s definitely worth unlocking Zeraora for free in Pokemon Unite while you still can to help bolster your roster with a top-tier pick!

Pokemon Unite Tier List After Buffs & Nerfs – August 4

The Pokemon Unite August 4 balance patch is shaking up the meta and we’ve got a new tier list to explore!

We’ve combined some of the most popular opinions to create the ultimate Pokemon Unite tier list. However, bear in mind that we expect some Pokemon to move around in the near future.

As for why these changes have been made, look no further than the recent patch notes. Charizard, Venusaur, and Talonflame have received heavy buffs across the board.

Meanwhile, Wigglytuff is now a tank, with incredible health, defense, and special defense stats. With a buff to the already-powerful Double Slap and a better Sing, it’s the perfect Support replacement for Eldegoss which received heavy nerfs.

Cinderace also left S Tier after a reduction to its damage output. The popular pick won’t see quite as much use as it did previously, but it’s still a relatively powerful ally to have on your side.

And despite Zeraora and Gengar being two powerful contenders for S Tier, neither one was hit too heavily by nerfs. Zeraora took a nerf to its Unite Move but a received big buff to Wild Charge.

Meanwhile, Gengar got a reduction to its Hex invincibility frames, but without much of a damage reduction to go alongside it. Instead, Shadow Ball and Dream Eater got upgrades to encourage more varied play.

We also suggest that you don’t play Gengar until this Pokemon Unite Bug is fixed!

Things have definitely changed since the July 2021 Pokemon Unite tier list! And we expect similar changes to appear during next month’s update – or after the game’s first balance patch.

In the meantime, check out all of our Pokemon Unite guides below for an in-depth analysis of each character!
