Pokemon Unite Greedent Build: Best Moves, Items, Strategy & More

The squirrel-like Greedent is the lastest Pokemon to join Pokemon Unite – check out the best build for it, including moves, items, strategy, and more.

The Pokemon Unite roster keeps expanding and even some lesser-known Pokemon like Greedent are now making their way to the game.

This greedy new Defender gets a perfect score for Endurance and has some good Support skills too. However, low Offense and Scoring attempt to keep Greedent in check, even if it ends up very high up on our updated Pokemon Unite Tier List.

What’s more, with an expert difficulty rating, you’ll need to be an experienced Pokemon Unite player to get the most of Greedent. That makes following this guide even more important!

But first, find out how to unlock Greedent for free in Pokemon Unite.

Greedent Build Pokemon Unite

Evolution

You start off as Skwovet but, as soon as you hit level 5, you evolve into Greedent.

Unique Abilities

Basic Attack – Becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing increased damage when it hits and causing one Berry to drop from the user’s tail.

Cheek Pouch – When the Pokemon eats a Berry, it also recovers HP after receiving the original effects of the Berry. At the same time, it stealthily stashes another Berry in its tail. Being hit by a single attack or combination of attacks will cause a Berry to drop from the Pokemon’s tail.

Level 1/3

Tackle – 6s Cooldown – Has the user leap to the designated area, damaging opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. If this move is used while Covet is active, no area can be designated for the user to leap to. Instead, while the user is running, damage is dealt in an area to opposing Pokemon in front of it. If the user has any Berries stashed in its tail at this time, it consumes all of them. The more Berries the user had stashed away, the more this move’s cooldown is reduced.

Defense Curl – 8s Cooldown – Grants the user a shield for a short time. In addition, a Berry will drop in front of the user.

When playing as Greedent in Pokemon Unite, always pick Tackle first. This is because it will help you farm Wild Pokemon early on in the game.

Level 5

Stuff Cheeks – 8s Cooldown – Has the user drop several berries, which can be eaten to recover HP. Any HP recovered that exceeds the user’s max HP will be converted to a shield effect. If the user catches sight of a Berry while using this move, its movement speed is increased for a short time.
Upgrade: Increases the number of Berries the user drops from its tail.

Covet – 9s Cooldown – Has the user run with all its might, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and throwing them. While running, the user drops Berries from its body. If the user eats a dropped Berry, its movement speed is increased for a short time. The more Berries the user eats, the more its movement speed is increased. In addition, Belch or Bullet Seed can also be used while the user is running.
Upgrade: Increases damage dealt by this move and increases the frequency at which Berries drop.

We recommend picking Stuff Cheeks when playing as Greedent in Pokemon Unite. This is because it helps keep Greedent on high HP.

On the other hand, Covet is the move you should pick if you want some added mobility. It is quite difficult to pick up all of the berries though, so don’t expect to heal too much.

Level 7

Bullet Seed – 5s Cooldown – Has the user spit Berry seeds in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. The more Berries the user had stashed away, the more damage this move deals.
Upgrade: Increases the damage dealt.

Belch – 5s Cooldown – Deals damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and decreases their movement speed for a short time. If the user has any Berries stashed in its tail at this time, it consumes all of them. The more Berries the user had stashed away, the more this move’s cooldown is reduced.
Upgrade: Increases the damage dealt.

While both of these moves are good picks, Belch is the one you should go for right now. This is thanks to its higher damage output and its insanely overpowered combination with Greedent’s Unite Move.

Level 9

Unite Move – Berry Belly Flop – Has the user eat a Berry to recover HP and then leap to the designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and throwing them. The user then eats a special Berry, allowing it to stash an unlimited amount of Berries in its tail for a short time and resetting the cooldown of all its moves.

This is an extremely powerful Unite Move right now, mostly due to its secondary effect. Being able to stash an unlimited amount of Berries means that you can just spam your powerful moves like Belch over and over again!

Held Items

  • Focus Band – When the Pokemon drops to low HP, then each second for three seconds, it recovers 8% of the HP it had lost.
  • Muscle Band – When basic attacks hit, the damage is increased by 1% of the opposing Pokemon’s remaining HP.

Battle Items

Like most Pokemon, we recommend using the Eject Button with Greedent. This will allow you to escape from dangerous situations.

Greedent Strategy in Pokemon Unite

  • Keep an eye on Greedent’s Special Berry Gague, below the health bar. How many Berries you have stored will determine how powerful your Moves are.
  • Make sure to give your teammates some Berries. It might be tempting to keep them all for yourslef but Greedent works best as part of a team!
  • Greedent’s biggest strength is its Endurance. Try to take hits for your more fragile teammates so that they can deal the big damage.
  • Use your Unite Move at the right time. Right now, Greedent has the most powerful Unite Move in the game – use it correctly and you can solo Zapdos with ease!
