There’s a new mechanic in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and players are able to change and relearn moves at any point!
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is finally here, and it’s fair to say it’s the game we’ve all been waiting for. What the experience lacks in graphical prowess, it certainly makes up for in style.
And to many Pokemon fans, it’s the game we’ve been waiting for. Now, The Pokemon Company is not only giving us an open-world setting to become a Pokemon Master, it’s also adding in a lot of much-needed Quality of Life changes.
Players can now choose to evolve their Pokemon at any moment, or leave them alone indefinitely.

And it’s even possible to evolve Pokemon like Kadabra or Onix without trading at last, so long as you know where to look.
Plus, there’s a new and easy way to find shiny Pokemon fast in Pokemon Legends: Arceus too! But what’s perhaps most interesting is that trainers will be able to change or relearn any Pokemon move whenever they see fit.
How to Change / Relearn Moves in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
If you want to change your Pokemon’s moveset or relearn a previous move, here’s what you need to do in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
- First, open your bag, and select the Pokemon you want to relearn an old move.
- Choose ‘Change Moves’
- Then, select your prefered option from the list of past moves.
- Remember, your Pokemon can only remember 4 moves at once, so you’ll often need to replace a move too!
Alternatively, you could always catch multiple versions of the same Pokemon and teach them differing movesets. You can even catch more Starter Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, provided you know where to look.
And make sure you catch the best Starter Pokemon in the game to help with your adventure!
Plus, hardcore fans will even be able to catch Darkrai and Shaymin in Pokemon Legends: Arceus too!
