Pokemon GO is finally adding Zorua to the game, as well as Legends: Arceus’ Ursaluna and more. But it’s not all good news.
Niantic’s mobile title is always adding new content to keep players happy, and it looks like this Halloween has plenty to offer fans of the game.
Not only are we getting some incredible Mega & Legendary raids throughout October, but Pokemon GO is also adding some brand-new Pokemon to the game.
But a new Pokemon GO datamine reveals that Niantic could also be looking to ramp up the advertisements seen in-game. Here’s everything you need to know:
New Pokemon Coming to Pokemon GO
Zorua

It seems that Zorua will be making its way to Pokemon GO at long last! The Tricky Fox Pokemon is a Dark-type that is known for its ability to transform into other creatures (and even human beings) using its illusion abilities.
According to reliable datamining group Pokeminers, Zorua will be encountered like Ditto. When catching one of a select group of Pokemon, a player might discover that their new capture was actually a Zorua all along.
Here are all the Pokemon that currently have a chance to be Ditto. It’s unclear whether or not Zorua will share these same potential disguises but we’ll update this article as we learn more.
Zoruark

If Zorua is making its way into Pokemon GO, we can only assume that its evolved form, Zoruark, is following suit. The evolution also has the power to transform, but is unlikely to be a wild Pokemon encounter.
Let’s just hope that Zorua is easier to find than Ditto so we can get the required 50 Zorua Candy to evolve it into Zoruark.
Neither Zorua nor Zoruark has a release date just yet. We’ll keep this article up to date as more information arrives, so check back soon.
Ursaluna

Ursaluna made its debut in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as one of the ridable Pokemon that players could summon in-game. Now, it seems that the Peat Pokemon will be arriving in Pokemon GO this November.
Rumors suggest that a Teddiursa Community Day will be dropping on November 12, and that that’s where Ursaluna will finally arrive in the game.
A brand-new evolution item has been found in the latest Pokemon GO update’s assets, referred to as Evolution Stone A. Whether A refers to Arceus or it’s just a placeholder, we can’t be sure, but our guess is that it’s the Peat Block needed to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna.
Ursaring can also only evolve under a full moon, but it remains to be seen if that’s going to be part of the Pokemon GO evolution requirements.
These aren’t all the Pokemon making their debut soon either! Check out the Festival of Lights 2022 event to catch 2 more new Pokemon in Pokemon GO.
Full-Screen Ads

The disappointing news is that the latest Pokemon GO update also contains code for full-screen video ads, the likes of which haven’t been seen in-game so far.
According to the Pokeminers teardown, Google AdMob has been added to the game, providing support for several new ad types. One notable addition is full-screen video ads, which it seems Niantic is getting ready to use in Pokemon GO.
It’s entirely possible that these ads could simply be optional, giving players the choice to view an advertisement in exchange for some free items as many mobile games do. However, Pokeminers reports that some full-screen video ads have the option to not give out a reward to viewers.
For now, it’s important to take all of the information above with a pinch of salt. However, as it’s all been datamined, it’s likely coming to the game in the near future in some regard.
