Today marks the Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock Limited Research Day – here’s everything on offer during this special event!
It’s the final day of Adventure Week, and Niantic aims to go out with a bang. If you’ve been enjoying a focus on fossil ‘mons over the last few days, you won’t want to miss out.
And speaking of not missing out, this month’s Pokemon GO Community Day features a must-have Pokemon!
However, that hasn’t stopped fans from complaining about the upcoming event. See why Pokemon GO fans hate the June Community Day already here.
But for today, players will be able to get their hands on two of the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Read on to find out more.
Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock Limited Research Day Date & Time
The Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock Limited Research Day event takes place on June 12, from 11 AM – 3 PM local time.
Pokemon Spawns for Ultra Unlock Limited Research Day
From 11 AM – 12 PM, and 1 PM – 2 PM, Amaura will see increased spawns in the wild.
Meanwhile, from 12 PM -1 PM, and 2 PM -3 PM, Tyrunt spawns are getting a boost.
UPDATE: All doesn’t seem to be going well so far, with Pokemon GO players reporting low spawns of both Amaura and Tyrunt!
As well as these two featured ‘mons, expect to see these Pokemon appearing more commonly:
- Alolan Diglett
- Alolan Geodude
All of these Pokemon, except Amaura and Tyrunt, have shiny forms available to catch.
Ultra Unlock Limited Field Research
As for the day’s field research and rewards, here’s what’s on offer when spinning those PokeStops:
- Battle in a Gym
- Battle in a Raid
- Catch 3 Rock-type Pokemon
- Catch 5 Pokemon with Weather Boost
- Evolve 2 Rock-type Pokemon
- Land 5 Curveball Throws
- Land 3 Curveball Throws in a row
- Send two Gifts and add a sticker to each
- Land 5 Nice Throws
- Land 3 Nice Throws in a row
- Power Up Pokemon 3 times
- Land 3 Great Throws
- Land 2 Great Throws in a row
- Spin 2 PokeStops or Gyms
- Take a snapshot of a wild Rock-type Pokemon
- Use 3 berries to help catch Pokemon
- Use a Supereffective Charged Attack
The good news is, completing any of these Field Research tasks will net you an encounter with Cranidos or Shieldon. What’s more, both Pokemon will have boosted odds of being shiny!
