Pokemon GO is kicking off the new season – Adventures Abound – with a brand-new Timed Investigation that lets players earn a Master Ball!

Logging into Pokemon GO at any point during the Adventures Abound season, which starts on September 1, 2023, will give you the Timed Investigation: Master Ball to complete.

Even though it contains just 10 tasks in total, all of these tasks will take a long time to complete. However, it is certainly worth it as it is only the second time ever that Pokemon GO players can earn a Master Ball.

Timed Investigation: Master Ball Completion Rewards

For completing the 10 tasks in the Timed Investigation: Master Ball, you will get the following rewards:

  • 1 Master Ball
  • 3000 Stardust
  • 20,000 XP

This is only the second time that a Master Ball has been available to Pokemon GO players, so make sure to use it wisely!

We recommend using your Master Ball to catch one of the Galarian Legendary Birds, as they are extremely rare and have a very high flee rate.

When Does the Timed Investigation: Master Ball Research Expire?

The Timed Investigation: Master Ball Research expires at 8 PM local time on November 21, 2023. This means that you must finish it before then if you want to earn a Master Ball for Free.

You have until the Master Ball Timed Investigation expires.

If you do not complete the Timed Investigation by then, you will be able to purchase a Special Research Ticket to earn a Master Ball. However, the price of this ticket has not been revealed yet.
