The Pokemon GO Swinub Community Day Classic will be taking place from 2 PM to 5 PM local time on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
As the featured Pokemon, Swinub will be spawning much more frequently in the wild for the duration of this event. Additionally, there is an exclusive Mamoswine attack to get and Research to complete!

Swinub Community Day Classic Bonuses
The following in-game bonuses will be active for the duration of the Swinub Community Day Classic event in Pokemon GO:
- 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon
- Lure Modules will last for three hours if activated during the event
- Incense will last for three hours if activated during the event
- Surprise snapshot encounters during the Community Day Classic!
Featured Mamoswine Attack – Ancient Power
Evolving Piloswine from 2 PM to 7 PM local time on the Pokemon GO Swinub Community Day will give players a Mamoswine that knows the exclusive attack Ancient Power.
This is a Rock-type charged attack that has 70 power in Gym and Raid battles. Alternatively, it has 60 power plus the chance to increase attack and defense in trainer battles.
To evolve Piloswine into Mamoswine, you’ll need 100 Candy and a Sinnoh Stone. Here are the fastest ways to earn Candy, as well as how to get Sinnoh Stones in Pokemon GO so you can get this exclusive attack.
If you don’t manage to evolve a Piloswine during the Community Day, you’ll need to use an Elite Charged TM to teach Mamoswine Ancient Power.
April 2023 Community Day Classic: Swinub Special Research Ticket
Pokemon trainers can buy the Swinub Community Day Classic Ticket for $1 (or local currency equivalent) to get access to Special Research.
Completing tasks within the Special Research Story will give Swinub Candy, encounters with members of the Swinub family and more!
Swinub Community Day Field Research & Timed Research
Finally, there will also be new Field Research Tasks and Timed Research to complete during the Pokemon GO Swinub Community Day.
The rewards from the Field Research Tasks include Sinnoh Stones, Stardust, and Ultra Balls. Meanwhile, players will be able to earn up to four more Sinnoh Stones from the Timed Research.
