New Pokemon & Shiny Variants
Oranguru, first debuting in generation 7, is going to be available for players to catch. As a Normal/Psychic type it promises to be a wonderful counter to Ghost type Pokemon.
Furthermore, for the very first time players will be able to encounter and catch a shiny Cherubi. It seems this Sustainability Week will be great for players looking to collect every Pokemon and their shiny counterpart.
Complete Research To Plant Trees During Sustainability Week!
Since Sustainability Week has an emphasis on the environment and how to help preserve it, Niantic has released a special timed research.
The timed research lasts for 1 day only – Saturday, April 23 from 10 AM to 8 PM local time. During these times, players will be tasked with different phases, all of which include adventuring 1km.
Each 1km walked will allow players to encounter Cherubi. For players that walk 5km or more during these hours Niantic will plant a tree!
In honor of Sustainability Week, a new nature-themed collection challenge is being released! The entire list of Pokemon players need to catch is unreleased as of writing.
However we do know that two Pokemon – Gloom and Weepinbell – will only appear when players use a Mossy Lure Module.
For players that manage to complete the collection challenge, the rewards include a Mossy Lure Module and 15 Great Balls.
