Pokemon GO is holding an Incense Day event featuring Skorupi – here’s everything you need to know about it!

As Skorupi is the featured Pokemon for this Incense Day, it will be attracted to Incense much more frequently for the duration of the event, and the odds of encountering the shiny version of Skorupi will be boosted.

Additionally, a selection of Bug-type and Poison-type Pokemon will be attracted to Incense more often during the Incense Day, with Bug-types and Poison-types alternating each hour.

The Skorupi Incense Day event is taking place from 11 AM until 5 PM local time on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Skorupi Incense Day Bonuses

The following in-game bonuses will be active throughout the Skorupi Incense Day event:

  • Incense is more likely to attract Skorupi
  • Increased chance of encountering Shiny Skorupi
  • Daily Adventure Incense lasts twice as long when activated during the event

In addition to the bonuses, there will be a 1 PokeCoin bundle in the shop, which gives players an Incense. This lets everyone take part in the Skorupi Incense Day!

Skorupi Incense Day Shiny Odds

The odds of catching a shiny Skorupi during the Incense Day are boosted. While Niantic does not reveal shiny rates for Pokemon, we expect it’ll be either 1 in 64 or 1 in 128 during the Incense Day.

This is because Skorupi’s shiny odds are usually 1 in 500, and when Pokemon are more likely to be shiny, their shiny odds increase to either of these rates.

A selection of Bug-type Pokemon will be attracted to Incense more often at the following times on the Incense Day:

In addition to all of the Pokemon that will be attracted to Incense during the Skorupi Incense Day event, there will be some event-exclusive Field Research Tasks.

You can get these by spinning PokeStops during the event, and they give some great rewards. These rewards include additional encounters with Skorupi, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more!
