Pokemon Go is having region-themed celebrations, will the Sinnoh event provide some insight into the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes?
Fans of Pokemon have been speculating about the reveal of the Diamond and Pearl remakes for months.
It was hoped that Pokemon’s ISS event would reveal something. But alas, the event provided very little insight into the series's future.
While we’re not expected the Sinnoh event to offer any confirmation either, it may show off some ideas and concepts that are telling. For example, updated art and sprites of Pokemon we’ll see – or locations in Sinnoh.
The event may represent an excellent opportunity to tease the Diamond and Pearl remakes. If these are indeed the Pokemon games coming in 2021 – as we suspect they are.
If Nintendo does decide to provide some connection, it may make sense to do it at the end of the event. It does seem to the Phanpy in the room. (Get it?)
It will also be a nice way to test the fan’s appetites towards the Sinnoh region - and how an open world version could work. We expect the company will be listening to see how people react.
