No, you cannot catch the shiny version of Sandygast in Pokemon GO yet.

As Sandygast only came to the game on June 6, 2023, developer Niantic has not yet added the shiny version to the game. However, like all Pokemon in Pokemon GO, Sandygast will get a shiny version at some point in the future.

Until then, make sure you catch the standard version of this new Pokemon. There are currently only two ways to catch Sandygast in Pokemon GO, as it doesn’t spawn in the wild!

Is There A Shiny Sandygast Release Date in Pokemon GO?

Niantic has not announced when shiny Sandygast will come to Pokemon GO yet. However, judging by the release timeline of other shinies, we expect to see shiny Sandygast in the game in Summer 2024.

This is because, most of the time, the shiny versions of new Pokemon come to Pokemon GO the following year.

What Color is Shiny Sandygast?

Shiny Sandygast is a gray-black color, like the kind of sand you would see on a beach near a volcano. Additionally, it has a yellow spade in its head.

This makes it appear very different to the regular version of Sandygast, which is a standard sand color and has a red spade in its head.
