Team GO Rocket has taken over Pokemon GO from June 21 to June 26, 2023, and there is a new Special Research Story, a Shadowy Disturbance, to complete.
It is available to pick up from June 21 to September 1, 2023 and has five steps, all of which involve battling Team GO Rocket, the bosses, and the leader Giovanni.
What’s more, if you progress through this Research and defeat Giovanni, you’ll be able to catch a brand-new Shadow Legendary, Shadow Regirock!
A Shadowy Disturbance Step 1/5 Tasks & Rewards
Step 1 of A Shadowy Disturbance in Pokemon GO shouldn’t take too long, as the tasks are pretty simple.

How to Catch Shadow Regirock in Pokemon GO
To catch Shadow Regirock in Pokemon GO, you must defeat the Team GO Rocket boss Giovanni before the Season of Hidden Gems ends on September 1, 2023.
You can get more than one Shadow Regirock, but this requires defeating Giovanni multiple times before this season ends.
