Here’s everything you need to know about the September 2022 Pokemon GO Community Day featuring Roggenrola!
Community Days are one of the highlights of the month for every Pokemon GO player, especially when the featured Pokemon is rare.
The September 2022 Community Day will feature Rock-type Pokemon Roggenrola, which can be pretty hard to find in the wild.
What’s more, there will be some great event bonuses and Raid Battles during the September 2022 Community Day.

When is the September 2022 Roggenrola Community Day – Date & Time
Roggenrola Community Day is on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time.
Throughout the 3-hour event, Roggenrola will be spawning way more often, but that’s not all.
There will be event bonuses, Raid battles Special Research, and more, giving players plenty to do during Roggenrola Community Day.
Don’t forget that the Community Day is also taking place during the Pokemon GO Test Your Mettle event too. This has plenty more Research for players to complete:

Roggenrola Community Day Bonuses
- 1/4 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed into Incubators during the event.
- Double Candy for catching Pokemon.
- Incense activated during the event will last 3 hours.
- Double chance of receiving XL Candy for trainers level 31 and above.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last 3 hours.
- A surprise Pokemon snapshot encounter.
- One additional Special Trade (until 10 PM).
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust (Until 10 PM).
To make the most of this huge Egg hatching distance reduction, you’ll need to know which Pokemon are in Eggs right now:
- Season of Light: All Pokemon in 2km Eggs
- Season of Light: All Pokemon in 5km Eggs
- Test Your Mettle Event: All Pokemon in 7km Eggs
- Season of Light: All Pokemon in 10km Eggs

Roggenrola Community Day Raids
After the Roggenrola Community Day, from 5 PM – 10 PM local time, the featured Pokemon’s evolved form, Boldore, will be appearing in Raids.
You will only be able to join these 4-star Raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. This means they can’t be completed remotely and you will have to go to a Gym in person.

Additionally, beating a Boldore Raid will cause more Roggenrola spawns around the Gym for 30 minutes!
Featured Gigalith Attack
Evolving Roggenrola’s evolution Boldore into Gigalith until 10 PM on the September 2022 Community Day will give it a featured attack.
The featured Charged Attack, Meteor Beam is Rock-type. It has 120 power in Trainer battles and 140 power when battling in Gyms and Raids.

Special Research Story
Roggenrola Community Day will also feature a Special Research story for players who purchase a Special Research: Rock ‘n’ Roll Ticket.
This ticket can be bought for $1 (or local currency equivalent) from the in-game Shop and will give players a short Research story to complete where they can earn Roggenrola Candy and encounters.

Yes, you can catch shiny Roggenrola during the September 2022 Community Day.
Additionally, throughout the Community Day, there will be an increased chance to catch shiny Roggenrola.
