Pokemon GO Players Hate Remote Raid Pass Price Increase

Niantic has increased the price of Remote Raid Passes in the Pokemon GO item shop and players aren’t happy! Here’s what they have to say.

Doing Raids in Pokemon GO remotely is great for many reasons. Not only does it let you catch Legendary Pokemon from the comfort of your own home, but it also allows players to team up with other trainers across the world to beat the toughest Raids.

However, if you want to do a Raid remotely, you’ll need to use a Remote Raid Pass. Getting one of these used to be easy as they were available in the 1-Coin weekly Event Boxes.

Although, the latest update has just changed this, making Remote Raid Passes way harder to get in Pokemon GO!

To add insult to injury though, Niantic has also increased the price of the bundle of 3 Remote Raid Passes in the store. Before, it cost 250 Coins and now it is 300, meaning that you don’t save for buying more.

And it’s fair to say fans aren’t happy about this price rise…

Pokemon GO Fans Are Annoyed By Remote Raid Pass Price Rise

With all of the Legendary Tapus returning to Raids soon, players want as many Remote Raid Passes as they can get. However, Niantic is making them more expensive.

This price rise for Remote Raid Passes in Pokemon GO has caused outrage amongst Pokemon GO players.

Players on The Silph Road subreddit are annoyed that buying 3 Remote Raid Passes at once no longer gives you a discount as it menas you will be able to take part in less Remote Raids.

Additionally, they are also worried about what this means for the future of the game.

Pokemon GO Update Makes Remote Raid Passes Much Harder to Get

Some players in the replies believe that a price rise for a single Remote Raid Pass could be on the way too. This would be yet another disappointment and would make Remote Raiding even more expensive to do.

Hopefully, Niantic decides to revert this Remote Raid Pass price rise in Pokemon GO. However, as fans have rightly pointed out, this could be the beginning of some even more unpopular changes.

Niantic has already made incense “worthless” in Pokemon GO and also ruined Community Days with a number of changes so anything more could really upset players.

Luckily, there will be some exciitng new content coming to the game soon too. A leak has revealed an upcoming Pokemon GO Furret Walk Challenge.

Not happy with the coin increase for multiple remote raid passes. Remote raids are a great way to get people to interact and work together. I think they are one of the best aspects of the game. This will make it harder for people to participate, possibly causing them to play less. They should make them easier to get not harder.

I guess Niantic isn't making enough money. I think it's about time to stop playing pokemon!
