Best Counters To Mega Charizard X
Mega Charizard X Type Weakness
Upon mega evolving into Mega Charizard X, this Pokemon’s type changes from Fire/Flying to Fire/Dragon. There are 3 types that are super-effective against this combination. These are:
Moves using any of these types will deal 160% damage to the raid boss! However, there are 5 types that Mega Charizard X is resistant to! These are;
Bug, Steel and, Electric type moves will deal 63% damage to Mega Charizard whilst Fire and Grass type moves will only deal 39% damage. Be sure to stay away from those move types in order to take the boss down easily!
Best Pokemon To Use In Mega Charizard X Raids
Below is a list of 5 great Pokemon to use in the raid!
- Tyrantrum (Which you can evolve from Tyrunt!)
- Aerodactyl (If possible, using its mega evolution!)
- Lycanroc (Either form is fine)
All of these Pokemon make great counters due to having access to moves that are super-effective against the raid boss.
Stats And Moves
Mega Charizard X is a great mega Pokemon for shiny hunters as it does have the potential to be shiny! Furthermore, its stats are pretty good too! Its stats are:
- Defense: 213
- Stamina: 186
- Attack: 273
As you can see it does have an incredibly high attack, making it a great unit to bring to raids or gym battles!
It also has access to the following moves:
- Air Slash (Flying)
- Fire Spin (Fire)*
- Ember (Fire) (Can be taught through an Elite TM)*
- Wing Attack (Flying) (Can be taught through an Elite TM)
- Dragon Breath (Dragon) (Can be taught through an Elite TM)*
- Dragon Claw (Dragon)*
- Fire Blast (Fire)*
- Overheat (Fire)*
- Flamethrower (Fire) (Can be taught through an Elite TM)*
- Blast Burn (Fire) (Can be taught through an Elite TM)*
Moves marked with * will benefit from a 20% attack bonus. This is due to STAB (same type attack bonus)
