July 2023’s Pokemon GO Community Day Classic event features the original Water-type starter Squirtle!
Of course, for the duration of this event, Squirtle will be appearing much more often in the wild. Additionally, there are some great bonuses, Research, and an exclusive Blastoise attack to get!
July 2023 Squirtle Community Day Classic Date & Time
The Pokemon GO Squirtle Community Day Classic is taking place from 2 PM to 5 PM local time on July 9, 2023.
However, even after the Community Day ends, you’ll still be able to catch plenty of Squirtle. This is because a costumed Squirtle is spawning in the 7th Anniversary Party event!
Squirtle Community Day Classic Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active during the Pokemon GO Squirtle Community Day Classic:
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
- Surprise snapshot encounters
Featured Blastoise Attack – Hydro Cannon
Evolving Wartortle into Blastoise from 2 PM to 7 PM local time on July 9 will give you a Blastoise that knows the exclusive attack, Hydro Cannon.
This is a charged attack that has 80 power against other trainers and 90 power in Gyms and Raids.
Sunglasses Squirtle Field Research
Pokemon trainers can pick up event Field Research Tasks to earn a costumed Squirtle wearing sunglasses during the Squirtle Community Day Classic.
Spinning any PokeStop from 2 PM to 5 PM local time on July 9 could give you one of these limited-time Field Research Tasks.
Ticketed Special Research Story
Finally, players can purchase the Squirtle Community Day Classic ticket from the in-game shop for $1.
Finishing this Research will reward players with plenty of Squirtle Candy and encounters with the Squirtle Family!
