July 2023’s Pokemon GO Community Day features the tadpole-like Poliwag!

Like all Community Days, the featured Pokemon will be spawning in the wild much more frequently. Additionally, there are a number of great in-game bonuses, a couple of featured attacks, new Research, and even some Tier 4 Community Day Raids.

July 2023 Pokemon GO Community Day: Poliwag Date & Time

The Pokemon GO Poliwag Community Day is taking place from 2 PM to 5 PM local time on July 30, 2023.

As usual, this Community Day lasts just three hours, but there will also be some Community Day Raids taking place from 5 PM to 10 PM local time, following the end of the event.

Poliwag Community Day Event Bonuses

• 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator
• 2x Candy for catching Pokemon
• 2x chance to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon (Trainers level 31 and up)
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last three hours
• Incense activated during the event will last three hours
• Surprise snapshot encounters
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day (until 10 PM)
• Trades require 50% less Stardust (until 10 PM)

Featured Poliwrath & Politoed Attacks

Evolving Poilwhirl into Poliwrath or Politoed until 10 PM local time on the Community Day will give them an exclusive featured attack.

Poliwrath will get the fast attack Counter, which has 8 power in trainer battles and 12 power in Gyms and Raids.

Meanwhile, Politoed can get the charged attack, Ice Beam. This has 90 power in all battles!

Poliwag Community Day Raid Battles

Following the Community Day, from 5 PM to 10 PM local time, Pokemon trainers will be able to battle Poliwag’s evolution, Poliwhirl, in Tier 4 Raids.

Like all Community Day Raids, Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to participate in Poliwhril Raids.

Additionally, winning one of these Raids will activate a great in-game bonus. For 30 minutes after winning a Poliwhirl Raid, Poliwag will spawn around the PokeStop.

Research

There will be Timed Research and limited-time Field Research to complete during the Poliwag Community Day event.

You’ll want to complete plenty of these as they can reward you with King’s Rocks, the item required to evolve Poliwhirl into Politoed, Ultra Balls, Poliwag encounters, and more!

Additionally, players can purchase the Slippery Swirls Research Ticket from the in-game shop for $1 (or local currency equivalent). This Research will also contain plenty of great rewards centered around Poliwag!
