New Pokemon are always exciting for Pokemon GO players, but the low hatch rate for Larvesta has left many fans underwhelmed and upset.
The new An Instinctive Hero event has brought many Egg hatching bonuses to Pokemon GO, along with the brand-new Pokemon Larvesta appearing in 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs.
Initially, fans were excited to get their hands on this new Pokemon. However, getting a Larvesta is much more difficult than initially anticipated.
This is because the hatch rate for Larvesta is so low that many players will not be able to get one before the An Instinctive Hero event ends!

What is the Larvesta Hatch Rate in Pokemon GO?
Larvesta currently has a tier 5 hatch rarity in 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs. This makes it the rarest possible hatch in each of these Eggs.
And while there is not currently enough data to determine the exact hatch rate, previous tier 5 rarity Pokemon have a hatch rate of just 2%!
On average, players will have to hatch 50 Eggs obtained during the An Instinctive Hero event to get Larvesta.
The An Instinctive Hero Research gives a free Incubator, but is only a small consolation.

To make matters even worse, you need 400 Candy to evolve Larvesta in Volcarona! This will make getting Volcarona any time soon almost impossible unless you already have hundreds of Rare Candy to evolve your Larvesta.
Even if you know the fastest ways to earn Candy in Pokemon GO, it could still take months!
Unsurprisingly, Pokemon GO fans are very upset by the low Larvesta hatch rate. There has been plenty of outrage about it on the r/TheSilphRoad subreddit, with Redditor u/windycitykid89 saying “it’s gonna take a miracle to hatch Larvesta in Eggs”.
Meanwhile, prominent members of the Pokemon GO community,y such as JRESeawolf have also expressed their disappointment about the matter. They even went as far as to call the low hatch rate “near-predatory behavior”.
For now, players will hope that Larvesta comes as a wild Pokemon spawn soon, but this is not guaranteed. After all, there has been an increasing trend of new Pokemon being very hard to catch, with Regidrago and Regieleki being exclusive to Elite Raids and Gholdengo being almost impossible to get in Pokemon GO!
Unfortunately, this is just the latest issue that Pokemon GO fans have with the game. In fact, the #HearUsNiantic campaign is still ongoing to protest the Remote Raid Pass price increase.
