As the first event of Season 9: Mythical Wishes, Hoenn Mega Raid Day is kicking off this season with a bang.
A whopping 3 fan-favorite Mega Pokemon are making their long-awaited Pokemon GO debuts as part of the Raid Day and there are some great event bonuses too!
Pokemon GO Hoenn Mega Raid Day – Date & Time
The Pokemon GO Hoenn Mega Raid Day is taking place on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 2 PM – 5 PM local time.
This gives players just 3 hours to battle the trio of new Mega Pokemon that are in Raids during this time!

New Mega Pokemon on Hoenn Mega Raid Day
The Mega Evolutions of the Gen 4 starter Pokemon are finally coming to Pokemon GO as part of Hoenn Mega Raid Day. They are:
All 3 of these Mega Pokemon will be available for players to battle for the duration of the Hoenn Mega Raid Day event.
Hoenn Mega Raid Day Event Bonuses & Exclusive Attacks
There are 5 different bonuses that will be active during Hoenn Mega Raid Day, including 3 exclusive attacks:
- Blaziken caught during Hoenn Mega Raid Day will know the Blast Burn charged attack
- Sceptile caught during Hoenn Mega Raid Day will know the Frenzy Plant charged attack
- Swampert caught during Hoenn Mega Raid Day will know the Hydro Cannon charged attack
- Trainers can receive up to 5 additional Raid Passes for spinning Gyms
- Increased chance of encountering shiny Blaziken, Sceptile, and Swampert
Heading to Hoenn Mega Raid Day Ticket
Players will be able to buy the Heading to Hoenn Mega Raid Day Ticket for $5 (or local currency equivalent) to get the following additional bonuses from 2 PM to 10 PM local time on December 3:
- 6 additional Raid Passes from spinning Gyms (up to 12 total)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL
- Raid battles give 50% more XP
- Raid battles give double Stardust
