The 2023 Pokemon GO Halloween event continues with Part 2 – and there’s plenty more spooky content coming!
The highlights of Halloween Part 2 this year are two brand-new costumed Pokemon, the return of Zorua, plenty of spooky Raid bosses, and some new Research!

Pokemon GO Halloween 2023 Part 2 Start & End Time
Part 2 of the 2023 Pokemon GO starts at 10 AM local time on Thursday, October 26 and ends at 8 PM local time on October 31.

New Costumed Pokemon
Two brand-new costumed Pokemon are making their debuts during Part 2 of the 2023 Halloween event:
- Pikachu wearing a Tricks & Treats costume
- Gengar wearing a Tricks & Treats costume
Both of these new costumed Pokemon will be available as wild spawns during the event, while Gengar will also be a 3-Star Raid boss.
Additionally, some unknown costumed Pokemon will be available to encounter through the Trick or Treat Timed Research. We expect both the costumed Pikachu and costumed Gengar to be available through this too.
Pokemon GO Halloween Part 2 Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active for the whole of Part 2 of the Halloween event:
- Additional Candy and Candy XL for successfully catching Pokemon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws
- Costumed Pokemon have a chance to give additional Candy when caught
- On October 31, costumed Pokemon will have a chance to give Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL when caught

New Halloween Research
Part 2 of the 2023 Halloween event is adding the following new Research for players to complete:
- Trick or Treat Timed Research
- Rewards for this include costumed Pokemon and Zorua
- New Field Research Tasks
- Reward encounters include Greavard, Mismagius, Galarian Yamask, and Phantump
Additionally, players will still be able to finish the Greavard Timed Research as well as the Spiritomb Limited Research until the 2023 Pokemon GO Halloween event ends!
