Glittering Garden is the first Pokemon GO event of August 2023 and has plenty to get excited about.
In addition to the brand-new shiny Petilil, there are some great event bonuses, wild Pokemon spawns, an updated 2km Egg, and plenty of Research to complete. Here’s a full rundown of everything Glittering Garden has to offer!
Pokemon GO Glittering Garden Event Date & Time
The Glittering Garden event begins at 10 AM local time on August 5 and ends at 8 PM local time on August 8, 2023.

Pokemon GO Glittering Garden Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active for the duration of the Glittering Gardens event:
- 1/2 distance to earn hearts with your Buddy Pokemon
- Increased chance of earning Candy XL when walking with your Buddy Pokemon
- 1.5x Candy for hatching Pokemon
- 1.5x Stardust for hatching Pokemon

Updated Egg Hatches
The Glittering Garden event is updating the Pokemon, which you can hatch from 2km Eggs. Any 2km Egg picked up during the event will contain one of the following Pokemon:
- Budew
- Cherubi
- Sewaddle
- Petilil
- Bounsweet
- Larvesta

Glittering Garden Research
The Glittering Garden event will have Timed Research focused on exploring and hatching Eggs.
Plus, there will be new Field Research Tasks that have encounters with the following Pokemon as rewards:
- Tangela
- Roselia
- Petilil
- Foongus
Make sure to get outside during the Glittering Garden event. There’s plenty of new Research to complete, and loads of Grass and Fairy-type Pokemon will be spawning in the wild for you to catch!
