GO Fest: Global is the biggest Pokemon GO event of the year, and 2023’s edition features plenty of exciting new additions.
Of course, there are new Pokemon and shinies to catch, but that’s just scratching the surface. 2023 GO Fest: Global also has plenty of great in-game bonuses, Research, and a load of exclusive content for ticket holders.
Here’s a full rundown of everything that 2023 GO Fest Global has to offer!
2023 Pokemon GO Fest Global Date & Time
The 2023 Pokemon GO Fest Global event will be taking place at the following times on August 26 and 27:
- August 26: 10 AM – 6 PM local time
- August 27: 10 AM – 6 PM local time

New Pokemon in GO Fest: Global
The following Pokemon will be available across the world for the first time during GO Fest: Global:
- Carbink
- Diancie
- Mega Diancie
- Mega Gyarados
- Quartz Crown Pikachu
- Pyrite Crown Pikachu
- Malachite Crown Pikachu
- Aquamarine Crown Pikachu
All Pokemon GO players can get Carbink, Mega Gyarados, and the crown-wearing Pikachu by defeating them in Raids during GO Fest: Global. However, to Mega Evolve Rayquaza, you will also need a Meteorite, which you can get from GO Fest: Global Special Research.
All four versions of the Crown Pikachu will also be spawning in the wild during the event.
Meanwhile, Diancie and Mega Diancie are exclusive to the ticketed Special Research story.

New Shiny Pokemon in GO Fest: Global
The 2023 GO Fest: Global event is adding these new shiny Pokemon to the game:
- Goomy
- Sliggoo
- Goodra
- Shellos
- Gastrodon
- Joltik
- Galvantula
- Oranguru
All players will be able to catch the shiny versions of Goomy, Shellos, Joltik, and Oranguru in the wild. Meanwhile, the rest of the new shinies on this list can be obtained through evolution.

2023 GO Fest: Global Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active throughout the whole of the 2023 Pokemon GO Fest: Global event:
- Lure Modules activated will last for one hour
- 2x friendship bonus damage in raids
- Bonus Field Research Tasks based on different Pokemon habitats
- No Remote Raid limit between 12 AM local time on August 26 to 11:59 PM local time on August 27, 2023.
- Surprise snapshot encounters
Wild Spawns
The wild Pokemon spawns on August 26 of the GO Fest: Global event are split up into the following four habitats, which rotate on an hourly basis:
- Quartz Terrarium
- Pyrite Sands
- Malachite Wilderness
- Aquamarine Shores
Meanwhile, every Pokemon from all four of the habitats will spawn throughout the whole day on August 27.
