Global Challenges & Rewards

Players will be given Global Challenges during the event which will function similarly to research tasks. These are co-operative tasks with progress being pooled together from every player taking part.

There are hourly Global Challenges for players as the initial event of Pokemon GO Fest kicks off, there will be other challenges at in-person events such as Pokemon GO Fest Berlin.

Players must complete these challenges in order to obtain Ultra Unlocks! Currently, the rewards Niantic has stated for the Ultra Unlocks are:

  • Pokemon GO Fest (Global): If players complete 20 or more Global Challenges, Ultra Unlock bonuses for Adventure Week will be unlocked. (At the time of writing players are already over halfway to this goal)
  • Berlin Pokemon GO Fest: By completing this event’s Global Challenge, players will gain Ultra Unlock bonuses for the anniversary event (likely taking place in July)
  • Seattle Pokemon GO Fest: Players will gain Ultra Unlock bonuses for a to-be-revealed event by completing this event’s Global Challenge.
  • Sapporo Pokemon GO Fest: Players will gain Ultra Unlock bonuses for a to-be-revealed event by completing this event’s Global Challenge.

Niantic has confirmed that information about Ultra Unlock bonuses will be revealed one weekday after each GO Fest event ends. This means that players can look forward to information about the Adventure Week Ultra Unlock on June 8.

June Promises to be a fun-packed month for Players, with GO Fest, new Raid Hours (Including amazing Pokemon like Kyogre, Groudon)

However, this does come in the middle of players begging Niantic to “fix” the price of Remote Raid Passes

Some players are questioning if Niantic will listen to them at all!
