Pokemon GO players are still frustrated that they can’t complete the Season of Legends quest – who thought it would be so difficult to take a snapshot of Tornadus, Landorus, or Thundurus?
Special Research Tasks can be pretty tricky to complete in Pokemon GO. However, there is one that has been annoying players for well over a year now!
Over the last month, players who have been completing the All-Hands Rocket Retreat Special Research might have noticed the Season of Legends quest still clogging up their quest tracker.
Many players were stuck on the second step which tasks players with taking a snapshot of Landorus. Luckily, this Legendary Pokemon has finally appeared in raids for the first time in over a year.
What’s more, we’ve got a complete Therian Forme Landorus raid guide to help you defeat this Legendary ‘Mon.
Despite this, many players are still struggling to complete the Season of Legends Research as it requires not just a snapshot of Landorus but also of Tornadus and Thundurus!

Pokemon GO Players Can’t Take a Snapshot of Landorus, Tornadus & Thundurus – Season of Legends
With a datamine revealing a new Pokemon GO event and Furret Walk challenge coming soon, players will want to clear their Special Research Tasks. However, many are still struggling to take snapshots of three Legendary Pokemon in particular.
Plenty of posts on the Pokemon GO subreddit show how annoyed players are with the Season of Legends Special Research.
Having been in people’s quest logs for over a year now, players hoped they would finally be able to progress the research past the second step once they had taken a snapshot of Landorus. However, the next step has a very similar roadblock!

The third and fourth steps of the Season of Legends research task players with taking a snapshot of two other Legendary Pokemon – Tornadus and Thundurus. This means that you will be stuck on those steps if you don’t have either of these Pokemon!
This is just the latest thing annoying Pokemon GO players in the past few weeks. First, the Mudkip Community Day was a major disappointment and then people struggled to complete the Sustainability Week Collection Challenge.
All Pokemon GO players can do is hope that they return to raids soon. However, as both Tornadus and Thundurus were in the raid rotation recently, it looks like Pokemon trainers will have to wait another year or even more to finally complete the Season of Legends research!
At least fans of the game have new events to look forward to. The Alolan Geodude Community Day is coming up soon!
What’s more, the new Pokemon GO Mega Evolution update brings some huge changes. This will make Mega Evolving Pokemon way easier!

Anyone who complains about having an unfinished task is either very dramatic or has ocd. I'm issued thunderous last year finished it this year and the rewards weren't that great so wasn't too bother by it.

I can't confirm, but you should be able to use the Group Snapshot feature with a friend that has the Pokemon you need.

Take a pic of them from your Pokemon inventory

@BESEECHLOVE, this. This text of the task is misleading. It's not a snapshot in the wild, it's taking a photo in you're inventory of it captured or as a buddy.
Just click the camera icon on it's stats page.
