How to Hatch Eggs
To hatch Eggs in Pokemon GO, you must put them in an Incubator and walk a certain distance, depending on the Egg.
- Go to the Egg menu. To do this:
- Press on your Pokemon trainer’s face in the bottom left of your screen.
- Scroll down on the ‘Me’ page.
- Press the green ‘Eggs’ button.
- Select any Egg you want to hatch.

When placed in an Incubator, each of these Eggs requires you to walk a certain distance to hatch it. They also contain different Pokemon and can be obtained in varying ways.
2km Eggs have green spots and contain common Pokemon. You must walk 2km to hatch this Egg.
How to Get 2km Eggs in Pokemon GO
You can get 2km Eggs as a drop from spinning a PokeStop or Gym. They are the most common Egg to find in this way.
5km Eggs have orange spots and contain uncommon Pokemon. Walking 5km will hatch this Egg.

There is a chance of getting a 5km Egg when spinning a PokeStop or Gym.
Additionally, you can get a 5km Adventure Sync Egg (that contains different Pokemon) for walking 25km in a week with the Adventure Sync setting turned on.
7km Eggs are yellow with pink spots and contain event Pokemon. With almost every Pokemon GO event, the 7km Egg pool changes.
