Pokemon GO’s final event of June 2023, Dark Flames, is a celebration of Dark and Fire-type Pokemon and has plenty for players to do.
Featuring everything from new creatures to catch to Timed Research and a Collection Challenge, Dark Flames also promises to be the most exciting event of the month too!
Pokemon GO Dark Flames Event Date & Time
The Dark Flames event begins at 10 AM local time on June 29 and ends at 8 PM local time on July 2.
This is shorter than most Pokemon GO events, meaning you’ll have to act fast so you don’t miss out on all of the new content.
New Pokemon in the Dark Flames Event
Two new Pokemon will be coming to Pokemon GO during the Dark Flames event. They are:
- Turtonator
- Mega Sableye
Turtonator will only be available to catch after defeating it in a Tier 3 Raid. Meanwhile, you can battle Mega Sableye in Tier 4 Raids and earn Sableye Mega Energy.
Dark Flames Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active during the Dark Flames event:
- 25% additional XP for completing Raids
- 3 additional Candy for completing Raids
- 1 additional Candy XL for completing Raids (trainers level 31 and above)
- Team GO Rocket Grunts with Dark and Fire-type Pokemon will appear more often
- One of the following bonuses (depending on the Timed Research path you choose):
- Incense is more likely to attract Dark-type Pokemon
- Incense is more likely to attract Fire-type Pokemon
