The Pokemon GO Dark Flames event has added a brand-new Collection Challenged for trainers to complete. However, there are two versions of this challenge to complete.

Depending on which path you decided to take in the Dark Flames Timed Research, you will have to catch either Dark-type or Fire-type Pokemon to complete it. Of course, whether you picked Dark or Fire in that Research also corresponds to Dark or Fire in this Collection Challenge.

However, no matter which path you took, you must finish this Collection Challenge before the Dark Flames event ends at 8 PM local time on July 2, 2023.

Below, we have included the full list of Pokemon you must catch to complete this Collection Challenge and how you can catch all of them. This is the case for both the Dark-type and the Fire-type versions of this challenge.

You’ll need plenty of Litten Candy to complete the Collection Challenge, but there’s an easy way to get it during the Dark Flames event. One of the rewards for the Dark Flames Timed Research is 50 Litten Candy!

Dark Flames Collection Challenge Rewards

For catching all of the Pokemon in either version of the Dark Flames Collection Challenge, you will get the following rewards:

  • 100 Houndoom Mega Energy
  • 5000 XP

100 is enough Mega Energy to Mega Evolve your Houndoom for the first time and a great reward for completing one of the more tricky Collection Challenges in Pokemon GO.

Meanwhile, 5000XP is also a pretty good amount if you want to level up!
