Catching Some Z’s is all about Pokemon which like to take it easy, but that doesn’t stop it from being an exciting new Pokemon GO event.
This is because it includes the debut of another brand-new Pokemon and a new costumed Snorlax, alongside updated wild spawns and Raid Bosses!
Catching Some Z’s Event Date & Time
The Pokemon GO Catching Some Z’s event starts at 10 AM local time on July 15 and ends at 8 PM local time on July 16, 2023.
This gives Pokemon trainers just one weekend to catch the brand-new Pokemon in the game!
New Pokemon
The catching some Z’s event is adding a new Pokemon as well as a new costumed Snorlax to Pokemon GO. They are:
- Komala
- Snorlax wearing a nightcap
Komala will be a rare wild spawn that all players can catch. Meanwhile, nightcap Snorlax can be earned from Research, which is exclusive for players with the Pokemon GO Plus + accessory.

Finally, new Special Research for players who own the Pokemon GO Plus + accessory will be available from the beginning of the Catching Some Z’s event.
