Pokemon GO Fans Can’t Catch Weepinbell or Gloom – Sustainability Week Collection Challenge

The new Pokemon GO Sustainability Week Collection Challenge is giving players a lot of trouble – they can’t find Weepinbell or Gloom to complete it!

Collection Challenges are always fun to complete in Pokemon GO. While they may be simple, there are very few things more rewarding than finally checking off the last Pokemon in the challenge.

Pokemon GO’s Sustainability Week event introduced Oranguru to the game, alongside shiny Cherubi. What’s more, it added limited-time research and a brand-new Collection Challenge for trainers to complete.

Even if the event has gone down well with most players, the Collection Challenge is still proving a struggle for many. This isn’t helped by incense being “worthless” after the nerf either.

Pokemon Go Players Can’t Complete Sustainability Week Collection Challenge

The Sustainability Week Collection Challenge in Pokemon GO is proving a challenge for many players because of two Pokemon in particular – Weepinbell and Gloom.

Pokemon GO fans haven’t been having a great time recently. First, the Mudkip Community Day Classic was a major disappointment and now a new Collection Challenge is frustrating trainers.

The Sustainability Week Collection Challenge tasks players with catching 6 Pokemon:

  • Cherubi
  • Grimer
  • Weepinbell
  • Gloom
  • Trubbish
  • Grotle

However, completing the Sustainability Week Collection Challenge has been difficult for some Pokemon trainers as they can’t get either Weepinbell or Gloom. This isn’t just bad luck though, you can’t actually catch them in the wild.

Here’s how you can catch Weepinbell and Gloom!

How to Catch Weepinbell & Gloom – Sustainability Week

You can only catch Weepinbell or Gloom in the wild during Sustainability Week by using a Mossy Lure. However, even then, players are still struggling.

Although, you can also use this new trick to catch Weepinbell without a Mossy Lure!

After placing Mossy Lures, many trainers claim they only encounter one of either a Weepinbell or Gloom in the whole two-hour lure duration. This is extremely frustrating for many players who don’t have a load of Mossy Lures to spare.

To make sure you catch both Weepinbell and Gloom, we recommend playing with your friends to make the most of their Mossy Lures too. Alternatively, you can go to a busy area – there will hopefully be some Mossy Lures active at Pokestops you find.

Good luck completing the Sustainability Week Collection challenge in Pokemon GO!

Very disappointed. Dropped two mossy lures and no Gloom. Just same wild pokemons. 1 Weepingbell but what good is it if you can't complete challenge. I also have problem no one raids here. For CD day, someone dropped regular lures on all the stops so I couldn't even do a 3 hr mossy lure!!

My husband was unable to get anything to spawn AT ALL with a mossy lure. We used 4 and things spawned for me and a friend and absolutely nothing for him! Happens so often too. We can be in the same area and he'll spawn no wild Pokemon while I get tons.

I’ve used 4 lures with incense and haven’t seen either

Very frustrating
