The August 2023 Pokemon GO Community Day features the Gen 6 Water-type starter Froakie.

Of course, Froakie will be spawning much more frequently throughout the event, but there’s plenty more to look forward to. This includes a load of in-game bonuses, the debut of shiny Froakie, Frogadier Raids, an exclusive Greninja attack, and new Research!

August 2023 Pokemon GO Community Day: Froakie Date & Time

The Pokemon GO Froakie Community Day is taking place from 2 PM to 5 PM local time on August 13, 2023.

However, even if the main event lasts for just three hours, there will be additional Raids taking place after the Community Day finishes.

Pokemon GO Froakie Community Day Bonuses

• 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon
• 2x Candy for catching Pokemon
• 2x chance to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon (Trainers level 31 and up)
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last three hours
• Incense activated during the event will last three hours
• Surprise snapshot encounters
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day (until 10 PM)
• Trades require 50% less Stardust (until 10 PM)

Froakie Community Day Raids

After the conclusion of the Pokemon GO Froakie Community Day, from 5 PM to 10 PM local time, Froakie’s evolution, Frogadier, will be in Tier 4 Raids.

Remote Raid Passes cannot be used for these Raids, and there is also a bonus for winning a Frogadier Raid too. For 30 minutes after winning a Frogadier Raid, Froakie will spawn around the PokeStop you won the Raid at.

Featured Greninja Attack – Hydro Cannon

Evolving Frogadier into Greninja from 3 PM to 10 PM local time on August 13 will give you a Greninja that knows Hydro Cannon.

This is an exclusive charged attack that has 80 power in trainer battles and 90 power in Gyms and Raids.

Additionally, once Froakie Community Day begins, Greninja will be able to learn a new fast attack in Pokemon GO – Water Shuriken. This has 6 power in trainer battles and 10 power in Gyms and Raids.

Froakie Community Day Research

Pokemon trainers will be able to collect and complete Community Day Field Research Tasks during the event, with rewards including Froakie encounters, Stardust, and Ultra Balls.

Meanwhile, players can also purchase a ticket for the A Bubbly Disposition Research in the in-game shop. This Special Research will also include Froakie encounters and some Froakie Candy, but it must be completed on the Community Day!
