The Pokemon GO Astral Eclipse event has two new challenges for players to complete – one about the sun and another about the moon!
Every Pokemon GO event adds new content to the game and the Astral Eclipse event is a pretty exciting one!
In addition to Solgaleo and Lunala finally making their Pokemon GO debuts, there are new Raids, wild Pokemon, and even a pair of challenges for players to complete during Astral Eclipse.
How to Complete the Pokemon GO Astral Eclipse: Sun Challenge
To complete the Astral Eclipse: Sun Challenge in Pokemon GO, you need to catch all of the following 6 Pokemon before the Astral Eclipse event ends at 8 PM local time on November 28, 2022:
- Solrock
- Yungoos
- Sunkern
- Cottonee
- Petilil
- Alolan Vulpix
Luckily, all of these Pokemon are part of the wild Pokemon spawns during the Astral Eclipse event.
Pokemon GO Astral Eclipse: Sun Challenge Completion Rewards
For completing the Pokemon GO Astral Eclipse: Sun Challenge, you get 3000 Stardust. You can claim this once you catch all 6 of the Pokemon in the challenge.
How to Complete the Pokemon GO Astral Eclipse: Moon Challenge
To complete the Pokemon GO Astral Eclipse: Moon Challenge, you need to catch all 6 of the moon and night-themed Pokemon in the list below before the event ends at 8 PM on November 28, 2022:
- Lunatone
- Alolan Rattata
- Hoothoot
- Clefairy
- Munna
- Alolan Sandshrew

Pokemon GO Astral Eclipse: Moon Challenge Completion Rewards
After you catch all of the Pokemon in the Astral Eclipse: Moon Challenge, you will get 3000 Stardust as a reward.
