The Pokemon GO An Instinctive Hero event begins at 10 AM local time on May 2 and will run until 8 PM local time on May 8, 2023.
This event has a number of great bonuses for hatching Eggs, a couple of brand-new Pokemon, and new Research to complete!
An Instinctive Hero Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active for all Pokemon trainers during An Instinctive Hero:
- Increased odds of hatching shiny Pokemon from 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs
- 2x XP from hatching Pokemon
- 2x Stardust for hatching Pokemon
If you plan on hatching some Eggs, make sure to install the official Pokemon GO Egg Hatching Widget. This allows you to keep track of your incubating Eggs without even opening the app!
New Pokemon in An Instinctive Hero
Two new Pokemon and a new costumed Pokemon will make their Pokemon GO debuts during the An Instinctive Hero event:
- Larvesta
- Volcarona
- Elekid wearing a Team Spark-themed costume
Larvesta will hatch from 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs obtained during the event, you can evolve Larvesta into Volcarona, and the costumed Elekid will be available through a Special Research Story.
New Eggs
There is a brand new 7km egg for the An Instinctive Hero event, which has the chance of containing shiny Mantyke for the first time ever.
Additionally, Larvesta will be available to hatch from any 2km, 5km, or 10km Eggs obtained during the event.
While every Pokemon trainer will want to hatch Larvesta, there are plenty of great Pokemon to hatch in each Egg:
Research
Two new kinds of Research are coming to Pokemon GO with the An Instinctive Hero event. They are:
- An Instinctive Hero Special Research Story which rewards an exclusive costume Elekid
- New event-themed Field Research Tasks
In addition to the event Research, make sure you finish the Seasonal Special Research. There’s only a month left to finish it!
