Sustainability Week has returned to Pokemon GO in 2023, and the event offerings this year include a new selection of Field Research Tasks for players to complete.
While the headline addition of Sustainability Week is the new Special Research Story to catch the Mythical Pokemon Shaymin, the new Field Research is perfect for players who want to farm Drilbur Candy or earn some Berries.
Spinning a PokeStop from 10 AM local time on April 20 to 8 PM local time on April 26, 2023, could give you one of the six new Sustainability Week Field Research Tasks.

These are all of the new Pokemon GO Field Research Tasks in the 2023 Sustainability Week event and the rewards for completing them:
Field Research Task | Reward |
Catch 3 Ground‑type Pokemon | Drilbur encounter |
Catch 5 Water‑type Pokemon | 3 Razz Berries |
Catch 5 Grass‑type Pokemon | 4 Nanab Berries |
Catch 5 Rock‑type Pokemon | 2 Pinap Berries |
Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon | Drilbur encounter |
Give your buddy 3 treats | Drilbur encounter |
Unfortunately, none of the new Field Research Tasks give an encounter with the new Pokemon, Bounsweet, as a reward. However, there are three different ways to catch Bounsweet during Sustainability Week 2023.
In addition to the new Field Research Tasks, there is also 2023 Sustainability Week Timed Research to complete. There are plenty of great rewards from this, including three encounters with the brand-new Pokemon Bounsweet!
Finally, while you’re out collecting Field Research, make sure you hatch one of the new 7km event Eggs!
