Sony PlayStation Showcase 2023 took place today, and we are bringing every announcement to you in a condensed, easy to read list!

This is the first major event PlayStation has hosted since 2021. Needless to say, the stakes and hype are were high.

Project Q

• Dedicated device to stream games from your PS5 via Wi-Fi remote play.

PlayStation Earbuds

• Compatible with PS5, PC, and mobile.
• Simultaneously connect to mobile via Bluetooth.
• Uses a new wireless technology to ensure lossless audio with low latency while playing.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape Teaser Trailer

• Developed by Bungie.

Synapse Trailer – PSVR 2

• Developed by nDreams.

• A game from Smilegate Entertainment.
• Fast shooting action in VR.

Tower of Fantasy Launch Trailer (PS4 & PS5)

• 2D colorful art style with melee combat.
• Coming in 2024.

Street Fighter 6 Your Story Trailer

• Launching on June 2, 2023, for PS5 and PS4.

Granblue Fantasy Relink

• Developed by Cygames.
• Gameplay and cinematic trailer presented.
• Winter 2023 release date for PS5 and PS4.

Revenant Hill

• A game from The Glory Society.
• Coming to PS5 and PS4. No release window.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

• Reveal cinematic trailer presented.
• Focus of how many possible routes there is to complete a task. Stealth and action heavy are both possible.
• Coming October 12 to PS5 and PS4.

Alan Wake 2 Release Date Trailer

• Presented by Epic Games publishing.
• Developed by Remedy Entertainment.
• Atmospheric and story-focused trailer presented, setting the plot for Alan Wake 2.
• Coming October 17, 2023, for PS5.

Final Fantasy XVI Launch Trailer

• Story-centered FF XVI trailer.

Towers of Aghasba

• Developed by Dreamlit Games.
• Open world style gameplay with a unique world centered on wildlife.
• Coming in 2024.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (Remake)

• Cinematic trailer was presented.
• Fantastic food chain trailer, ending with the reveal of Snake.
• Coming to PS5, no release window announced.
• Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3 Snaker Eater are all coming to PS5 in Autum 2023.

Teardown

• Coming to PS5 in 2023, no release window announced.
• Supports PS5’s DualSense controller haptics.
• Features a 40 mission campaign split in two parts and a sandbox mode.
• Includes a 5 mission exclusive campaign titled “Art Vandals.”
• The developer intends to make the most popular mods available on PlayStation.

The Plucky Squire Gameplay Trailer

• Platformer action game with a fantastic 2D to 3D world transition.
• Story focuses on a hero, Jot, who realizes they are the main character in a storybook and has to face a villain who wants to take control of their book.
• Big and stunning 2D caricature-style segments in the book realm that seamlessly transition to 3D spaces in the world outside its pages.
• Game by All Possible Futures and Devolver Digital.
• Coming in 2023 to PS5.

Foamstars

• 4v4 Party Shooter developed by Square Enix.
• The main mechanic is battling with foam, which builds up, altering the battlegrounds for tactical advantage. For instance, players can build fortresses with foam, or use it for speedier traversal.
• Cinematic trailer presented, with a heavy emphasis on fast-paced shooter action.
• Coming to PS4 and PS5. No release date announced.

Cat Quest Pirates of the Purribean

• Developed by The Gentlebros and coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2024.
• Features ship sailing, a richer combat system with a weapon swapping mechanic, and a freely explorable world and story.
• The story adapts according to your actions.
• Features a single player and a two player local co-op mode.
• 3D overworld gameplay with 2D side scrolling action, and even naval fights.
• Wishlist available now.

Neva

• A game from Nomada Studio, the creators of Gris.
• Features platforming, combat, and puzzles in a gorgeous 2D animated world.
• The story centers around a woman and her lifelong bond with a giant wolf. Both embark in many adventures through a world that is dying at a fast pace.
• Neva’s driving idea came from recent worldwide turmoils such as the pandemic, rapid climate change, and more.
• Its narrative focuses on the complex relationships between children and parents.
• Coming in 2024 to PS5.

The Talos Principle II Reveal Trailer

• Expands on everything from its predecessor, with more puzzles, environments, and a richer story.
• The game takes place in a future where humanity is now extinct, but culture still lives through a world that is now colonized by humanoid robots.
• New gameplay mechanics include gravity manipulation and mind transference.
• Coming in 2023 for PS5.

Sword of the Sea Announce Trailer

• From the artist behind Abzu, The Pathless, and Journey.
• Takes place in an abandoned realm where all the land flows in constant waves.
• Gameplays centers in the Hoversboard movement mechanic, which according to the developer, controls like a snowboard, skateboard, and a hoverboard all at once.
• Take the role of a Wraith who is resurected in a barren world and tasked with the challenge of restoring life.
• Developed by Giant Squid Games.
• The game has an art style extremely reminiscent to the one present in Journey and Abzu.

Phantom Blade 0

• Developed by S-GAME and coming to PS5.
• Kung Fu Punk game, with a clash between Chinese Kung Fu, the occult, and even machines taken right out of the steampunk genre.
• You take the role of Soul, an elite assassin who is framed for the assassination of the patriarch of the organization they serve and has only 66 days to live and find out who really committed this crime.
• Features a semi-open world, with several independent large maps.
• Fast paced melee combat presented in trailer.
• No release window announced.

Ghostrunner 2 Announce Trailer

• Gameplay reveals the inclusion of a motorbike and open world sections.
• Visits more locations this time, not just Dharma Tower.
• Ghostrunner 2 takes place one year after the events of the first title.
• A new dialogue system is included in this sequel for lore and plot purposes.
• Enhanced gameplay mechanics and skills, including the possibility of blocking projectiles and attacks in exchange of stamina.
• Bigger and more complex levels that can be solved in a variety of ways.
• Launching in 2023 on PS5.

Immortals of Aveum Official Gameplay Trailer

• Developed by Ascendant Studios and part of EA Originals.
• First-person action gameplay presented to showcase enemies and spell-based combat.
• Presented four different areas of Avenum:
  • Kalthus – Snow covered mountain land.
  • The Pale Forest – Anciest forest location.
  • The Underwell – Underground area comprised of tunnels and caverns.
  • The Library of Akoth – An ancient library in the Sky-Islands.
• Launching July 20, 2023.
• Pre-orders open now.

Helldivers II Announcement Trailer – PlayStation Showcase

• Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios.
• Coming to PS5 and PC later in 2023.
• Four player cooperative third-person action shooter gameplay.
• Emphasis on team communication, as friendly fire is always on.
• Defend Super Earth against alien threats.

Fairgames$ CGI Reveal Trailer

• Developed by Haven as their first new IP.
• Competitive heist game for PS5 and PC.
• The heist mechanic is based on joining an underground movement to take from the rich, ala Robin Hood.
• PvP game with a sandbox style gameplay.
• No release date or window announced.
