PlayStation February State of Play Rumor Possibly Reveals Upcoming Games

The upcoming State of Play conference has supposedly leaked! A new rumor has suggested the conference's upcoming titles to be announced.

The State of Play is coming up on the Nintendo Direct as the new exciting video game conference.

During the conferences, Sony is expected to unveil some big games and introduce some new games to the PlayStation 5. And, with a State of Play being announced for tomorrow, we haven't much longer to wait to know about some new games for the next-gen console.

The titles have seemingly been kept close to Sony's chest; until now.

According to a source on Reddit, it looks like the new upcoming titles have been leaked. And there's some very exciting titles in there.

PlayStation State of Play's Rumored Games Lineup

A Reddit user has posted a thread from ResetEra, claiming the games that will be getting a few minutes to themselves during the State of Play conference.

This list is to be taken with a grain of salt, as it's seemingly without proof. But, either way, it would be an exciting prospect to see these games appear on the PS5.

Destruction AllStars

First off, the roadmap for Destruction AllStars is set to be announced. The game made a splash when it was introduced to PS Plus' February lineup, and now it looks like some new DLC is coming soon.

Following this, and keeping with the DLC theme, Godfall is set to have some DLC announced too. The Gearbox looter-slasher only launched recently, so it'll be interesting to see what extra content it has ready to go.

Oddworld Soulstorm

After that, a long-awaited PlayStation exclusive; Oddworld Soulstorm will get its time in the sun at the State of Play. It's already had its first trailer released, so maybe we'll get a closer look at gameplay or a behind-the-scenes look at the development to build hype.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach

The mysterious Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is also set to recieve a peek, potentially a full trailer.

We've already seen a short teaser for what looks to be a free-roam addition to the horror franchise, and we're curious to see what a more explorative look around Freddy Fasbear's domain will bring.

Grand Theft Auto V

Then, a big one; GTA V PS5 is tipped for a reveal by the State of Play rumor. It's wild that the game will have bridged three whole console generations by this release, but it's a no-brainer.

The game continues to churn revenue for Rockstar Games, so they'd be mad not to port the game to the next generation of consoles. Who knows, this might mean it's coming to the Series X/S too.

Goodbye Volcano High

Next is Goodbye Volcano High, a sweet high-school narrative focussed cinematic experience. Think a dating sim with sweet anthropomorphic creatures. It's beautifully hand-drawn and boasts some great LGBTQ+ representation, plus features voice acting from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Lachlan Watson.

Among Us

Following this is one we could've seen coming for miles; Among Us is expected to be revealed. The game took the internet by storm upon release, and its introduction to another console is very welcome.

Returnal is set for an announcement according to the State of Play rumor; the AAA title hasn't had much revealed about it yet. It looks to replicate the avant-garde freakishness of Control, taking the weirdness to a mysterious ancient civilization. It's been high on to-play lists of many PS5 owners, and we're curious to find out more.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Nearing the end of the broadcast, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart should get a mention. We've already seen a trailer and release date for the game, but maybe we'll get to see some more gameplay. Who knows; we might even get to learn more about the mysterious new Lombax character.

And finally, the rumor's final listing for tomorrow's State of Play, is Hades. The game has made waves in the industry recently, storming through Game of the Year discussions. The rogue-like is yet to come to PlayStation however, so maybe its appearance at the State of Play will herald its arrival?

Plus, with it rumored to close the conference, could it bring with it some new content? Only time will tell.

And that's everything the leak suggests! Again, it's important to take this with a grain of salt, but it's an interesting lineup to be sure.

Fingers crossed we can actually get our hands on the PS5 before these titles come out, though. Thankfully, it looks like more PlayStation 5 stock will be appearing in Target this week.

Extra good news for all you fans of free games; Play at home is returning and is bringing with it a first-party Playstation title, completely free. Plus, Sony's president has stated that more free next-gen titles will be coming to PS+ in the future.
