Players have started to notice that their level was not recorded correctly during the MW2 Beta. This all began when Call of Duty sent out emails congratulating players on their accolades over the beta.
The Modern Warfare 2 Beta took place over two weekends and allowed players to try out the new gameplay mechanics.
These mechanics will be front and center in both MW2 and Warzone 2.0. Now players are beginning to notice that their rank was not recorded properly.

Level Not Recording Properly for Players in Modern Warfare 2 Beta
Players are reporting that the email they received from Call of Duty is displaying the incorrect level and playtime from the MW2 Beta.
The main complaint is that the email shows level 29 when they in fact reached level 30.
Many players believe because of these errors, their rewards obtained are also incorrect. Some players even began to form theories as to why this happened, including:
- Once players reached Rank 30, they could still earn XP and fill out a progress bar. Some players suggest that even if you hit Rank 30 if you did not fill out the rest of the progress bar, then it wouldn’t count towards the rewards.
- Some players noted that they started the beta on what platform and then migrated to a different one for the second weekend of the beta. This could mean that only the platform you initiated the beta on counted towards the rewards.
The MW2 Beta featured various rewards for players that reached the max rank of 30.
To congratulate players for their performance, Call of Duty sent out an email that displayed the overall level players reached, their stats, and a look at the rewards obtained.
Players on social media were quick to notice discrepancies between their actual stats and the email. One Reddit user was able to use the Steam “Play Time” to quickly see the differences between both.
All in all, it’s an upsetting situation for players that could stop them from obtaining the full list of rewards possible during the Modern Warfare 2 Beta.
