RUMOR - The Witcher 3 coming to Nintendo Switch

In Japan, the Nintendo Switch has soared in popularity. It has overtaken the PS4 in number of sales. Because of this, many players have started to demand that more games become available to them. Considering that The Witcher 3 has maintained its player-base for over four years since its initial release, it would come as no surprise if this was the next hit game to be adapted for Switch.

The Witcher 3 is the Playstation’s sixth top best selling game, having sold over 4.8 million copies since its release.

How Do We Know?

Aside from the rumours that have surfaced because of the Japanese websites, CD Projekt Red, the original game developers, have hinted that fans should be excited for their presentation at E3 2019. The company have stated that this year would be their biggest presentation ever. Could this be a hint at a possible Witcher 3/ Switch collaboration?

The Witcher 3 is still ever-present in gamer’s minds. It will be even more so with the release of the television series on Netflix at the end of 2019. With Henry Cavill set to play Geralt of Rivia, fans are looking forward to this book-adaption version, as opposed to re-watching story lines from the game.

With E3 fast approaching, it won’t be long until we find out if one of the world’s most popular action RP games will finally come to the Switch.
