Core RPG Pokemon Switch 2019 Game 'Will NOT Be Influenced by Pokemon Go'

The Pokemon Press Conference yesterday revealed a lot of information regarding the new Pokemon Switch games. Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee trailers were revealed, as was Pokemon Quest. News of a core RPG Pokemon Switch game was announced. It is set to come out in late 2019.

Pokemon Switch 2019

According to Pokemon CEO, Tsunekazu Ishiharathe core RPG game will not be influenced by Pokemon Go. He noted that the Pokemon Let’s Go games do have a lot of similarities to the mobile game. This is to establish a consistency for those who only joined the franchise with the app.

Because of this, Pokemon Let’s Go will feature the same catching methods as Pokemon Go. However, it will still have an essence of traditional Pokemon games. The games are a ‘re-imagining’ of Pokemon Yellow, as Newsweek reported. As this Pokemon game was such a huge hit when it first came out – it still should cater for those veteran players.

Although the Pokemon Switch games will have ‘Go’ influences, the core RPG game will not. It will be more of a traditional game for those fans who have been with the series for a long time. Assumedly, it’s primary audience would be veteran players. Yet it will still be enjoyable for the newer players also.

Upcoming Pokemon Games

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are set to release November 16th, 2018. The game will be on Nintendo Switch and will have the ability to connect to Pokemon Go accounts.

However, there is also a game that has been released now for Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Quest is a simplified version of a traditional Pokemon Game. In addition to being released on Switch, there will be a mobile version made available. Players will explore Tumblecube Island with three other Pokemon to uncover its secrets.

The next game set to be released for Pokemon will be the Let’s Go games. Furthermore, we can expect this untitled core RPG game in the latter half of 2019.
