Nintendo and Burger King will collaborate on a range of meals; which will use Nintendo Switch games as their theme.
The new Nintendo themed Burger King range will be called Super Mario Meals, and each will feature a toy based on various Nintendo characters.
According to the press release Nintendo released, there will be six toys in the range.
Here’s a breakdown of each one:
Burger King Nintendo Toys:
Super Mario Maker 2 toy: Mario in his yellow construction worker gear stoop atop a pile of bricks.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe toy: A Metal Mario kicking up dust in his silver kart.
The Legend of Zelda toy: Link’s Awakening: Link in that game LA form, standing atop a wooden platform.
Splatoon 2 toy: An Inkling creature seen splashing on top of a fountain of green ink.
Animal Crossing toy: New Horizons: A small leaf maze featuring the Nook Bros., K.K. Slider, and Isabelle all poking their heads out.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 toy: Luigi seen wielding his Poltergust 3000 vacuuming up a ghost.
The Nintendo + Burger King promotion will run between the 8th to the 22nd of February 2021. It will also feature a competition where diners can win a Nintendo Switch console and a copy of Super Mario 3D World.
This isn’t the only Nintendo fast-food collaboration. Last week, we reported it appears as if Pokemon Cards will be coming to McDonald’s Happy Meals in the near future.
Nintendo seem keen to promote their big brands across popular billion-dollar franchises at the moment, such as Burger King and McDonald's. If we didn’t know any better, we’d suspect that they are gearing up to announce something big.
Yet they insist that they aren’t – we’re not convinced.
