A new Nintendo leak reveals the identity of 5 major Switch titles set to drop in 2021. Here's what to expect:
There's nothing that ramps up the excitement levels quite like a Nintendo leak. Despite its best efforts at keeping details close to the chest, the Japanese developer is notoriously bad at avoiding leaks.
Now, yet another major Nintendo leak is surfacing, and this one reveals what's to come in 2021. Although Nintendo is yet to reveal much about the year's upcoming launches, this new leak promises some big drops.
5 New Nintendo Switch Games Leaked for 2021
2021 is an exciting year, as it spells the 35th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda franchise. Players have been expecting a big reveal for the series' birthday celebrations, and it appears they won't be disappointed.
A new post from Nintendo leaker PH Brazil on Twitter reveals a shot from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, indicating that we're getting a launch later this year. Given how delayed the first Breath of the Wild ended up being, we could simply be getting a release date for 2022, but it'll be excellent to find out more.
Previously, a Nintendo leak suggested that Breath of the Wild 2 would end up being a launch title for the Switch Pro. However, Nintendo is currently only just addressing the Switch Pro rumors.
Next up on the leaker's roster is Splatoon, which is still one of Nintendo's most popular new IPs. Given that Splatoon 2's support has died down, this is the perfect time to announce the long-awaited follow-up.
Samus Aran is also shown in the leak, prompting fans to speculate about the first Metroid Prime 4 gameplay we've been waiting on for years. Metroid is a series that has a dedicated following, and no new major releases, so fans would be excited to learn more about the upcoming title.
Last up on the original post was the Fire Emblem series. Of course, it comes as no surprise to Nintendo fans that a new Fire Emblem is on the way.
After the success of Fire Emblem: 3 Houses, it'll be interesting to see what Nintendo has in store. However, iconic character Marth is shown in the image, possibly hinting at the Fire Emblem hero (and Super Smash Bros. fighter) making another appearance.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Leak for 2021
In a follow-up post, PH Brazil continues with the reveal that a Pokémon title is, in fact, coming. And judging by the Legendary Pokémon Dialga being present, we think we know what's on its way.
But whatever is coming, this is just one more nod that we truly are returning to Gen 4 this year. Given that this is one of the best generations in the Pokémon franchise, we can't wait to see more from Nintendo itself.
Considering this latest leak, the remakes will likely be coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2021. Although whether we're looking at a full remake or a re-release on a new platform remains to be seen.
It also looks like the new Pokemon movie will shed light on Ash Ketchum's father. This exciting revelation is something fans have been waiting for since well before the original Diamond and Pearl release.
