New Nintendo Indie World Showcase Event Announced – August 11

Nintendo has announced a brand new Indie World Showcase event which will feature 20-minutes of information on upcoming indie games for the Nintendo Switch.

These events take place throughout the year to reveal new titles and generate excitement for a game.

Nintendo Directs have become one of the most popular events for gamers, with millions looking forward to them.

So far this year we have seen games such as Pokemon Legends: Arceus announced during Direct events.

And we’re hoping to get another full-scale Nintendo Direct soon, particularly as Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have had a huge graphics boost!

What Games Can We Expect?

A number of indie games are expected to release for the Nintendo Switch over the rest of the year.

We can use this to gauge what games we could see during the Indie World Showcase event.

It is also possible that we will see brand new reveals too.

Life is Strange: Remastered and True Colors is very likely to be showcased during the event.

Both games are due to launch on the system next month.

This means that the Indie World Showcase would be the perfect place to reveal more information on the games.

Arietta Of Spirits Key Art

Arietta of Spirits is a story-driven action-adventure game that is set to release on August 20th.

This game looks really fun and we hope we can learn more about it.

KeyWe Key Art

The co-op puzzle game KeyWe is due to be released on August 31st.

KeyWe looks very interesting being a co-op game, so this could be one to highlight at the event.

Demon Skin is a 2.5D hack & slash game set to launch on September 30th.

Although perhaps a bit violent for a Nintendo event, this is one that we’re looking forward to checking out.

Spelunky 2 Key Art

Spelunky 2 is set to come to the Nintendo Switch later this year, with no official release date given so far.

Perhaps the biggest indie game of the year, we would be very surprised if it is left off this event.

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is another huge name that is set to come to the handheld system this year.

With the series being very popular among gamers, it is extremely likely we will see it mentioned.
