From Terminus to The Tomb, Treyarch is off to a great start with Black Ops 6, but when will we get our next Zombies map?
For the first time in years, Call of Duty has launched with not one but two round-based Zombies maps right from release day. And despite an excellent day-one offering, Treyarch even managed to release two more maps by Season 2’s release date!
But fans are already hungry for more Black Ops 6 Zombies content, so let’s look to the future and see what Treyarch has in store for us.
Next Black Ops 6 Zombies Map Release Date
Treyarch has now officially confirmed that Black Ops 6 Zombies’ next map, Shattered Veil, will arrive in Season 3.
Activision has already begun releasing teases for its next Zombies map, which indicates that the Liberty Falls Mansion should be arriving at the start of Season 3. However, this is yet to be confirmed, which could mean we’re left waiting for the mid-season update to get our hands on a new Zombies experience.
The next major update was initially set to drop on March 20, but it has since been pushed back to April 3, 2025.
Treyarch has been releasing new Zombies content every season so far, and it appears that Season 3 will be no exception.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies’ most recent round-based map, The Tomb, arrived alongside Season 2 on January 28, 2025.
It dropped shockingly early, given that Citadelle des Morts had only just arrived half a season prior, in Season 1 Reloaded.
Given that players expect five or six Zombies maps by the end of Black Ops 6’s lifespan, another early 2025 drop certainly seems to make sense.

What About Future Maps?
Leaks indicate that there will be roughly six maps available in total during Black Ops 6’s lifespan. If this is true, it means we can expect two more Zombies maps in 2025 – which would indicate that we’re getting a new map roughly every season.
It’ll be quite a wait for new maps to arrive, but if they’re all the same quality as the current offerings, we doubt fans will complain too much.
After all, we already have four full-sized Zombies maps available to play, which is more than any recent Call of Duty game had at this point in its lifespan.
Considering that Black Ops Cold War only received four round-based maps (alongside the open-world Outbreak mode) in total, that’s quite the accomplishment.
