How to Do New Zealand Early Access Trick for MW3

You can start playing MW3 right now using the New Zealand Early Access trick, by making your console believe you’re in an earlier time zone!

If you don’t want to wait to play the latest Call of Duty title, you’re in luck.

Once again, it’s possible to use the New Zealand trick to start playing Modern Warfare 3 a day early, and get started with the game right now.

Here’s how it works:

How to Get Early Access

To use the New Zealand trick to play MW3 early, you’ll need to be either an Xbox or PlayStation player. And, thanks to Call of Duty HQ, it’s easier than ever to pull off the early access method.

We’ve got guides for both consoles and the methods required below:

Xbox

To do the New Zealand trick on Xbox, it’s as simple as changing both your Activision and Xbox profile location to New Zealand!

Step 1:

1. Navigate to Settings on the Xbox Dashboard.
2. Choose System.
3. Click on the Location dropdown menu and pick New Zealand.
4. Select English (New Zealand) as your Language Region.
5. To apply the changes, press the “Restart now” button.

Step 2:

1. Head to the official Call of Duty website
2. Click Login, in the top right corner of the screen
3. Sign in using your Activision address
4. Click profile name in the top right, then select Basic Info from the dropdown list
5. Click Edit, next to Address
6. Type in any New Zealand address (use this Random New Zealand Address Generator if needed) Don’t forget to hit Save!

Your console will now act as if it is in New Zealand, where MW3 launched at midnight local time – equivalent to 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET on November 9!

That means you can play Modern Warfare 3 a full day early!

PlayStation

To use the New Zealand trick on PlayStation, all you need to do is change your Activision profile to New Zealand!

• Head to the official Call of Duty website
• Click Login, in the top right corner of the screen
• Sign in using your Activision address
• Click profile name in the top right, then select Basic Info from the dropdown list
• Click Edit, next to Address
• Type in any New Zealand address (use this Random New Zealand Address Generator if needed) Don’t forget to hit Save!

Now boot up Call of Duty and you’ll be able to access MW3 content early, without the need for any additional tricks.

What About PC?

Unfortunately, PC players will not be able to take advantage of the New Zealand trick to play MW3 early. Only console users get this headstart, and even methods such as a VPN would not work in this case.

This is because MW3’s PC release time isn’t midnight local time for everyone worldwide like it is on console.

PC versions of MW3 are set to launch at a single global launch time of 12 AM ET on November 10.

However, you can play MW3 early simply by getting an invite from a friend who already has access!
