A new Warzone leak reveals when we'll be leaving Verdansk and heading to the new map.
If you've been living under a rock, you may not have heard that Warzone is getting a new map soon. And from what we're hearing, it's going to be putting an end to our Verdansk adventures for good.
Now, it seems that we have a date for when Verdansk will be seeing some changes. A new Warzone map is on the way, and battle royale fans will be able to enjoy it in Season 2, if new claims prove correct.
News leaks are appearing, that appear to signal the end of the iconic Warzone map. And this isn't the first time we've heard about Verdansk being removed in Warzone Season 2.
When Is Warzone's New Map Coming Out?
It looks like Warzone's new map is coming soon, after a year of Verdansk being the only place to enjoy the battle royale's full potential.
Of course, we had Rebirth Island in Warzone with the introduction of Black Ops Cold War, but it fell short of the community's expectations. Now, an official full-scale Warzone map is finally on its way.
But this does look like we'll be saying farewell to Verdansk to make room for the new arena. This may well be because of Warzone's insane file size already - adding another map might be too much for next-gen consoles' limited hard drive space
A couple of days ago, major leaker ModernWarzone tweeted out the date 'March 11th.' Those who played Warzone when it came out might know that gamers were first able to drop into Verdansk on March 10, 2020.
The new map's release date was further teased by fellow leaker WarzoneNewz. This account promises the "End" of Verdansk, launching on March 11.
The account reports that this isn't a confirmed date, but it's a likely day for the 'End' event to drop.
What Is the Warzone 'End' Event?
But what exactly is the End event for Warzone, and what will it look like?
So far, we know that there's a large Nova 6 shipment on its way to Verdansk in Warzone. And rumors suggest that we could be seeing a storm causing that ship to crash and destroy a section of the map.
This is where the new Warzone mechanic leaks will likely come into play. And the Warzone bunkers will maybe even be opening their second doors very soon, as part of the event.
But many people believe that Verdansk's end will come at the hands of a nuclear warhead, with the map being destroyed beyond repair. From there, we may be playing on a devastated Verdansk map, or likely moving to a new location.
We know that there's a good chance of the new Warzone map being set in Black Ops Cold War's Fireteam areas.
This new content will be sure to make Dr Disrespect happy, as the streamer wants Warzone to 'evolve' in Season 2.
