It looks like Black Ops Cold War's latest update is making players fly when entering Fireteam: Dirty Bomb, and it might be leaking the new Warzone map.
If you're a fan of Black Ops Cold War's Fireteam: Dirty Bomb mode, you may be upset to learn that the game mode is partially broken. Although a new Sanatorium map is currently in the game, many are finding it hard to play on.
One of Black Ops Cold War's many bugs is preventing players from even getting to the map, and it's not the first time we've seen it. In fact, back in November, a similar Cold War bug made Fireteam: Dirty Bomb unplayable.
However, this new Fireteam bug actually may be showing off the new Warzone map, if we look at previous leaks.
First Look at the New Warzone Map?
It seems that Black Ops Cold War's newest bug might be revealing a section of the upcoming major Warzone map.
Shortly after spawning into Fireteam: Dirty Bomb's new Sanatorium map, players quickly discovered that the mode was unplayable. Just like in the original bug, players are finding themselves flying high above the Fireteam map.
And while being trapped in the air isn't ideal, some fans believe that they could be getting a sneak peek of the upcoming Warzone map.
From a recent new major Warzone map details leak, we know that the upcoming battle royale map will be made up of Cold War's Fireteam: Dirty Bomb arenas.
Given that there's a nearby mountain range too, this bug is leading to some major speculation. After all, rumors suggest that we'll be headed to a similar area with the next major Warzone update.
What's more, the new Ruka Point of Interest leak is actually across the lake from the new Sanatorium map.
Established leaker ModernWarzone on Twitter recently provided further evidence that Sanatorium would be part of the Warzone map. In the game's files, the area is referenced as wz_sanatorium.
And if this is the case, then our new aerial perspective of the area is likely revealing more that Treyarch wants us to see. We believe that this surrounding area could reveal never-seen-before details about what the Warzone map will look like on release.
Warzone's New Map Possibly Revealed From Above
In fact, we may soon be seeing the map from this height once more, when we drop into it from above.
Of course, not all areas and Points of Interest are visible at present. But we'd be willing to bet that a fair amount of the surrounding landscape will resemble Warzone at launch.
For now, we'll have to wait to play Sanatorium when the issues are fixed. But we'll take a Warzone sneak peek when we can get it!
Recently, the new Warzone update added the Wakizashi sword to the battle royale. Given that players were already complaining about Warzone's melee being overpowered, we wonder if this will be a popular addition.
But with a new Warzone glitch making helicopters explode instantly and Warzone ninjas camping in trees, be careful when dropping into Verdansk.
