The big day is finally here, and the Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal confirms a new Warzone map is coming – with anti-cheat!
If, like thousands of other games, you’re growing a little sick of Call of Duty: Warzone, Vanguard could be just the change you’re waiting for. Not only is the WW2 title launching with a huge line-up of Multiplayer maps, it’s also bringing some exciting new features to Warzone.
We’ve seen leaks about a Vanguard Warzone map coming this year for the past few months.
From what we hear, the WW2 Warzone map will be larger than Verdansk, with planes, tanks, and more!
But it seems that the rumors about a Warzone anti-cheat being on the way were also true. In a new official announcement by Activision, the publisher confirms that the popular battle royale is finally taking a stand against cheaters.
Warzone Anti-Cheat Release Date Confirmed
If cheaters have you down, worry no longer. We finally have the release date for the new Warzone anti-cheat that’s dropping alongside Vanguard.
In a series of new tweets that dropped after the release of Call of Duty Vanguard’s official reveal trailer, Activision confirms that anti-cheat is on the way.
Previously, we saw fans abandoning Warzone by the thousands thanks to cheaters. Even Warzone’s biggest streamer quit for Apex Legends recently, and we wonder if anti-cheat will be enough to drag the leavers back.
Of course, the new PC anti-cheat will only drop alongside Vanguard’s new Warzone map later this year.
“#Vanguard will be a new #CallofDuty chapter in more ways than one! We couldn’t be more excited for the new PC anti-cheat system coming to #Warzone later this year,” Raven Software writes.
In the official announcement, Call of Duty’s Twitter account also reveals that the Vanguard launch will also feature a new Warzone map, gameplay, and playlists.
Of course, recently players have been working out how to cheat on console versions of Warzone. Given that this is a PC anti-cheat Activision is bragging about, we wonder how effective it will be in-game.
Hopefully, it’ll be enough to save Warzone from dying a slow death. And we’ll be able to get a taste for the new Vanguard gameplay by signing up for the open beta here!
From what we hear, Vanguard’s next-gen graphics are insane, so be sure to play this game on a new console if possible!
